Full Mouth Implant
Rehabilitation

Full Mouth Implant Rehabilitation is a Life-Changing Treatment Designed for Patients Who:

  • Currently wear dentures but find them uncomfortable or difficult to adapt to.
  • Have failing teeth or only some teeth remaining that need to be removed.
  • Have already undergone full mouth implant treatment elsewhere and now require a revision.

What is Full Mouth Implant Rehabilitation?

For many years, and particularly for marketing purposes, this treatment is often referred to as All-on-4 — meaning all missing teeth are replaced and supported by four implants. Other terms such as All-on-6 or All-on-X describe cases where six or more implants are used.

The correct medical terminology that encompasses all of these approaches is full mouth implant rehabilitation.

Depending on your individual needs — including your bite, chewing patterns, and jaw relationship — you may require between 4 and 6 implants per arch.

For patients who have been told they do not have enough bone for conventional—or so-called “normal”—implants, we offer advanced solutions using remote anchorage implants. These include:

  • Zygomatic implants
  • Pterygoid implants
  • Trans-nasal implants
  • Trans-sinus implants

These advanced techniques anchor implants in surrounding bone structures, making it possible to restore function and confidence even in cases once considered impossible.

The Process

1. Diagnosis and Planning

You will need 2–3 visits prior to surgery for detailed diagnostics and treatment planning. This includes scans, photographs, and consultations to design the best treatment pathway for you.

2. Surgery

Surgery is usually performed under general anaesthesia (GA) in our medical-level operating theatre and typically takes less than 2 hours per arch. If you still have teeth, they can be removed during the same procedure, avoiding the need for multiple surgeries. Full mouth implant rehabilitation deserves the same level of care as any other major surgery in the body. For this reason, we strongly recommend that these procedures are carried out under GA in a fully equipped medical operating room setting, ensuring both safety and comfort throughout your treatment.

3. Immediate Temporary Prosthesis

Within 1–3 days after surgery, you will be fitted with a fixed temporary prosthesis. These temporary teeth restore your smile and allow limited chewing function while your implants and soft tissues heal. This stage typically requires two appointments of about 1 hour each.

4. Final Prosthesis

After 3–6 months of healing, you will be ready for your final prosthesis. This prosthesis is designed to be more durable and aesthetic. The process usually requires 3–5 visits, with trial stages at each step to ensure the fit, function, and appearance are exactly as you want. We strongly recommend waiting until healing is complete before placing the final prosthesis. During the healing process, the gums naturally shrink and reshape; placing a final prosthesis too early can result in gaps, food trapping, or speech issues.

5. Maintenance

Maintenance is one of the most important but often less highlighted or even neglected aspects of treatment. We will see you as often as every 6 months to ensure your implants are progressing well and to address any issues early on. Regular hygiene visits and daily home care are essential, and our team will provide you with full guidance and instructions for long-term care.

Martin Evans

After a really traumatic experience with another surgeon, I was nervous about trying again. But meeting Dr. Choi, the anaesthetist, and the entire after-care team completely changed everything. They were calm, supportive, and explained every step in a way that made me feel safe.

They fixed the complications I’d been struggling with and helped me feel comfortable and confident again. My implants look and feel amazing now, and the care I received—from surgery to after-care—was outstanding.

I’m so grateful to have found a team I can finally trust.

Dr Han Choi and his team showed outstanding kindness and professionalism throughout my treatment. I have long suffered from severe dental anxiety, but their empathy and support made a complex procedure possible for me. I underwent highly complex full mouth zygomatic implant surgery, and the results were excellent, with smooth healing and minimal bruising. Having had a previous traumatic full mouth implant experience in Turkey, I can honestly say the care and expertise I received here were incomparable. I highly recommend Dr Choi and his team for anyone seeking exceptional dental care.
